On a Spring day when all the leaves wore that vibrant green of new life, my friend and fellow guide Jon H. and I decided to fish the "big horseshoe" of Abrams Creek, in the Smokies. Chased through the gorge by thunderstorms, we moved quickly. I came upon this scene just after a curious otter swam past my leg underwater and popped on shore in front of Jon. |
